Arches Health Plan Announces Retirement of CEO Linn Baker
SALT LAKE CITY, May 18, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Arches Health Plan today announced that the company's CEO, Linn Baker, will return to his retirement at the end of June. Mr. Baker came out of retirement from Utah's Public Employees Health Plan ("PEHP") to lead and launch Arches Health Plan since the company's inception in 2012. Although Mr. Baker will be stepping down as CEO he will remain active within the company. He will continue to serve on the board of directors and will have a role on the executive committee. He will be replaced as CEO by Shaun Greene, founder and COO.
Mr. Baker's leadership was instrumental in the successful launch of Arches Health Plan. In its launch year, Arches Health Plan enrolled many more people than anyone could have expected on the federal exchange in Utah and grew enrollment over 95% in its second year. In just a few short years, Mr. Baker has successfully guided the company to a projected $150 million in annual revenue.
Linn Baker has brought unmatched health care experience and knowledge to his role as Arches' CEO. For 31 years Mr. Baker was the founder and executive director of PHEP. At PEHP he was instrumental in developing the state's self-administered health, dental, life, and long-term disability programs. He implemented a statewide preferred-provider network for public employees and organized two self-funded HMO networks offered to public employees.
Arches Health Plan is indebted to Mr. Baker for the contribution he has made at the Company. "Words cannot express how grateful the Arches team is for Linn's leadership, guidance, and friendship," Shaun Greene said about his predecessor. Arches Health Plan will indeed have a large gap to fill, but Mr. Baker has laid the groundwork for the company's success in the years to come.
