The Archdiocese supports a workforce comprised of 147 parishes, 57 elementary schools, five high schools and the pastoral center. The organization will leverage HR InTouch to consolidate all benefit-related information in one place, creating a better way to navigate and manage changes in the healthcare and benefits space. Using a one-to-many model, HR InTouch automates the exchange of data between the Archdiocese, all partner insurance carriers and each entity's current payroll system, eliminating the manual data collection and entry processes.
Archdiocesan employees can access the portal any time using any web-enabled device, experiencing the same high quality on a smartphone or tablet as they would a personal computer. Whether enrolling in benefits for the first time or making elections during open enrollment, Archdiocese of Seattle employees will benefit from HR InTouch's decision support tools and personalized guided shopping experience. This technology gives them plan comparison tools to provide further insight about plan details, allowing employees to evaluate their options and make informed decisions based on out-of-pocket costs and their individual coverage needs.
"We anticipate a tremendous improvement in our benefits communication through the introduction of an online portal where our employees can explore plan options at their convenience," said Patty Lutz, Assistant Benefits Service Director for the Archdiocese of Seattle. "Benefitfocus stood out for the best-in-class service delivered through their technology solutions, making us feel at ease with our decision to move away from our antiquated paper enrollment to a more efficient cloud-based benefit administration."
"It's an honor to be selected by the Archdiocese of Seattle to bring simplicity and greater personalization to their benefits packages," said Benefitfocus President and CEO Shawn Jenkins. "The Archdiocese of Seattle employees convey great passion for their organization's mission. We are excited to provide a more convenient way for them to shop, enroll, manage and exchange their personal health and benefits information. Our mission to create a better way to manage benefits influences every step in the design and evolution of our technology. It is what drives our associates to create the best experience for our clients."
The Archdiocese of Seattle will be live on the BENEFITFOCUS® Platform in May 2013.
