DENVER, Feb. 7, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- ARCADIS (NYSE EURONEXT: ARCAD), the international consultancy, design, engineering and management services company, announced today that Malcolm Pirnie, the water division of ARCADIS, has been selected to support Veolia Water for managing the water sector in the country of Oman.

The project team will assist Oman's Public Authority for Electricity and Water (PAEW) in designing and implementing technologies, procedures and asset management systems, to further professionalize its water utility management. The 5-year multimillion-dollar contract begins this month to meet PAEW's aggressive milestone schedule.

Specific responsibilities under the contract include a comprehensive analysis of PAEW's current information and communication technologies (ICT) systems; implementation of new ICT systems for customer service management, performance monitoring and asset management; and development of operations manuals and procedures.
