Arbitron Integrates TAPSCAN Web with Marketron Exchange
Linking the two systems gives radio broadcasters a fully automated, web-based, sales and traffic solution from initial proposal through fulfillment and invoicing
COLUMBIA, Md. and HAILEY, Idaho, Jan. 19, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Arbitron Inc. (NYSE: ARB) and Marketron announced today the integration of Arbitron's TAPSCAN Web, a Web-based sales proposal and analysis system, with Marketron Exchange, the media ecosystem platform connecting buyers and sellers electronically so they can share orders, invoices, performance information, ratings information and more – natively. Linking the two systems gives radio sales executives an efficient, all-in-one sales and traffic solution, from sales proposal to order to traffic and billing. This new service will be available from Marketron and Arbitron on February 1, 2011.
Arbitron's TAPSCAN Web is used by over 17,000 radio sales professionals and facilitates more than 400,000 proposals to radio buyers per year. Marketron's traffic solutions are used by more than 7,000 radio station clients.
"The integration of TAPSCAN Web with the Marketron Exchange platform is a testament to radio sales professionals' need for interconnectivity between business systems and the value of streamlining the process," said Steven Minisini, CEO, Marketron. "Industry standards such as the Marketron Exchange platform are making business processes that are manual and very labor intensive instantaneous and completely accurate, eliminating discrepancies that result in millions of dollars of lost revenue for our clients each year."
"Our radio group clients have expressed a need for a more advanced and accessible solution for electronic sales proposals and orders," said Carol Hanley, Executive Vice President, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer, Arbitron. "Integrating Arbitron's TAPSCAN Web with the Marketron Exchange platform should make it easier for radio sellers to access sales data anytime at any place, providing them with a more efficient way of managing the sales process. That should translate into stronger account management for radio advertisers."
