PHILADELPHIA, Oct. 20, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Aramark associates who work in schools and universities, hospitals, sports venues, on delivery routes and in businesses of all kinds are the heartbeat of the global provider of food, facilities management and uniforms. To honor those who deliver outstanding service to its clients and consumers, the company is recognizing 200 of its best from around the world, as part of its inaugural Ring of Stars program.
"With more than 270,000 associates worldwide, Aramark is ultimately a customer service and people business," said Eric J. Foss, Aramark's Chairman, President & Chief Executive Officer. "The Ring of Stars program allows us to honor the extraordinary efforts of our team members who embody what it means to be an Aramark Service Star and deliver on our mission to enrich and nourish lives."
The first Ring of Stars program provided winners and a family member or loved one, a special all expenses paid trip where their contributions were acknowledged and celebrated by the company's executive leadership team. Each recipient also received a special ring to commemorate their accomplishment and their name will be included in a permanent Ring of Stars display at the company's global headquarters in Philadelphia.
Associates and managers honored were chosen from more than 1,400 nominees. Winners were nominated by coworkers, managers and business leaders and were selected for demonstrating excellence in living Aramark's core values and/or for delivering greatness at the moment of truth, innovating the everyday and demonstrating a high degree of involvement in the communities they serve.
