April 29 State Fleet Auction to Feature More Than 360 vehicles
Preview period to run from April 25 - April 28
HARRISBURG, Pa., April 22, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- More than 360 vehicles will be auctioned off when the commonwealth holds its second state fleet auction on Tuesday, April 29 at the Manheim Central Penn Auto Auction, 488 Firehouse Road, Grantville, Dauphin County at 10 a.m.
"Commonwealth vehicle fleet auctions always generate a public interest for the opportunities they present for individuals to purchase a quality used vehicle," state General Services Secretary Sheri Phillips said. "With more than 360 vehicles to bid on, there is something for everyone at this auction."
Trucks, SUV's and sedans used by state agencies from various vehicle manufacturers will be available for bid. Also, vehicles seized by state law enforcement agencies will be up for auction as well.
A vehicle preview for the public to inspect the vehicles will take place daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, April 25 through Monday, April 28, at Manheim Central Penn Auto Auction.
The auction will begin at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 29. Registration opens at 8 a.m. and closes at noon. Buyers may purchase with cash or certified funds in the form of money orders, cashier's checks, certified checks or bank checks – all made payable to "Manheim Central Penn Auto Auction."
This is the second of six vehicle auctions slated for 2014. All revenue generated is returned to the commonwealth.
