This will enable users to test the windows app before subscribing to a paid plan. Erstwhile, the free plan was restricted to apps for Android and iPhone devices.

Apps created under free plan comes with in-app advertisements and has no editing capabilities. However upgrading the app to paid plan will get rid of advertisements and would enable app editing feature, along with access to advance app features like Push Notifications, M-Commerce, In-App Purchase & Monetization.
