Leading enterprises including Orica and the Australian Government adopt Technology Business Management.
SYDNEY, March 27, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Apptio, the leading provider of Technology Business Management (TBM) SaaS applications, has today announced its launch into Australia and New Zealand. Apptio Technology Business Management software is a suite of cloud applications that give IT leaders the facts they need to make faster decisions, improve efficiency and communicate business value. Through the use of TBM within a business, Apptio is providing CIOs with the ability to harness their financial, operational, and organizational and performance data to showcase the value IT brings to their business. Customers turn to Apptio to create transparency into the costs of delivering and supporting IT products, applications and services; manage the cost, utilization and quality of what they deliver; benchmark themselves against their peers and cloud providers; and collaborate with business partners on trade-offs between cost and value.
The company's Australian go-to-market strategy is led by General Manager, Richard Outten, and involves leveraging reseller partnerships including a key relationship with UXC Ltd, the largest Australian-owned ICT infrastructure solutions and services company. Apptio will be working closely with UXC to distribute Apptio's applications across all sectors, including government and education.
The relationship with UXC Ltd. complements Apptio's global strategic alliance partners which include KPMG, Ernst & Young and ISG.
"We see amazing growth opportunities in the Australian market because of the maturity of enterprise and technology adoption, especially in evaluating the use of the cloud in enterprise computing," stated Sunny Gupta, founder and CEO of Apptio. "We are 100% focused on helping CIOs and IT leaders solve the problem of creating greater business value, and we have the software, know-how and passion to solve it."
The entry to Australia and New Zealand, follows the company's existing presence in the U.S. and more recent entry to the U.K., Germany and the Nordics and has led the creation of a new category of software, Technology Business Management (TBM). Apptio serves more than 175 global enterprise customers in nearly every major industry, including many of the largest companies in energy, aerospace, healthcare, financial services and hi-tech. The company counts more than one-third of the Fortune 100 as customers.
