LONDON, June 6, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- AppNexus, which offers the industry's most powerful, open and customizable advertising technology platform, today hosted its first-ever European Summit in London. The event – which was attended by nearly 500 industry leaders from some of the world's most influential online advertising companies including Microsoft, WPP's GroupM, Hi-Media and others – featured lively panel discussions and conversations on the future of digital advertising in Europe. The company also announced significant new global hires, expanded partnerships and product innovations.
"AppNexus was built to be a world-class global business and the European market continues to be a major focus for us," said AppNexus CEO Brian O'Kelley. Advancing Mobile in Europe
Building on the mobile commitment announced at its San Francisco Summit in April, AppNexus highlighted early successes of its mobile buy-side beta. Since the beta launch in early April, AppNexus has seen a 67% increase in mobile impression requests, a 3x growth in the number of mobile-sized creatives in its system, and more than 250% increase in mobile spend.
Bringing the Human Touch to Ad Tech
AppNexus also provided Summit attendees with a sneak preview of "Project Tango," a pilot program for buyers and sellers that builds on the strengths of offline relationships by making it easier to bring them to programmatic buying. AppNexus is taking a top-down approach, developing a relationship-level solution that will give buyers and sellers a more holistic view of their partnership. The goal is to make working with partners simpler and more powerful with added transparency and operational efficiency.
