Applied Software Expands BIM Technical Expertise in Alabama and Mississippi
Michael Zeeveld will Assist Architectural Firms and Construction Companies in Implementing BIM and Project Management Solutions
ATLANTA, Dec. 14, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Applied Software, a leading and nationally recognized Autodesk® Value-Added Reseller, announced today that it has strengthened its professional services team in Alabama and Mississippi with the addition of Building Information Management (BIM) and Project Management expert Michael Zeeveld, Associate AIA, who will serve as Senior Application Specialist.
Zeeveld brings more than 16 years of experience to Applied Software, including specific expertise in CAD management, commercial architectural drafting, 3D modeling, visualization and program customization, and information technology. Based in Applied Software's Birmingham, Alabama, office, he is responsible for consulting on and implementing Autodesk® Revit® Architecture, Autodesk® Revit® Structure and Autodesk® 3ds Max® software. He is also the technical lead for the Meridian Systems Prolog® construction project management application suite.
Prior to joining the Autodesk reseller channel seven years ago, Zeeveld owned Focus CAD and Zinc Visualization, a CAD consulting company specializing in creating high-end photo-realistic renderings, animations and construction documents for architects and engineers. He taught at the community college level and was a member of the Wake Technical Community College Advisory Board in Raleigh, North Carolina. He also served as president of the AUGI - Triangle AutoCAD User Group for two years. Zeeveld is also a former U.S. Army paratrooper.

Zeeveld is an Autodesk Certified Associate and Professional for multiple releases in AutoCAD, AutoCAD Architecture, Revit Architecture and 3ds Max Design, and is an Autodesk Consulting Specialist. He is an associate member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and has presented and taught at Autodesk University in 2006 and 2010, and presented at multiple AUGI CAD Camps.
