Applied Energetics to Open Washington, DC Area Office
TUCSON, Ariz., Sept. 23 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Applied Energetics, Inc., (Nasdaq: AERG) will open a Business Development office in the Washington, DC area on October, 4 2010. The company has hired Mr. Alan Womble as Vice President of Business Development to lead this effort.
Joe Hayden, President and Chief Operating Officer of Applied Energetics commented, "Opening an office in the Washington, DC area will allow us to better serve our existing customers in the U.S. Government and military. As a career military officer he understands the needs of our military customers exceptionally well. Prior to joining Applied Energetics Mr. Womble served as Director, Business Development, Intelligence Programs for PAR Government Systems Corp. directing all marketing, branding, new business capture and program execution in the Washington Metro Area. Prior to that he was Director, Business Development and Mission Applications Division, BAE Systems, with responsibility for day-to-day division operations and business development in the National Intelligence Community. From 1998 to 2005 he was Director, Mission Infrastructure and Operations, Commercial Products and Services with Boeing Autometric where he managed the operations of a strategic business unit including commercial product development, marketing, sales and support. Mr. Womble's career began in the United States Marine Corps as a Marine Naval Flight Officer where he served 20 years, including at sea deployments on aircraft carriers, was assigned to Naval Air Systems Command as a Deputy Program Manager and was assigned to the National Imagery and Mapping Agency as a Program Manager and a Division Chief. Mr. Womble graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy with a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering, attended Naval Flight School and attended the Defense Systems Management College.
