Apple Rejects/Bans Angry Elections Game from App Store

"It's banned in its current form," said Kevin Moore, developer of Angry Elections. "We are disappointed that Apple has taken such a harsh stance on what we and most people that have played the game find funny, entertaining and certainly a witty use of political satire."
Angry Elections is an Angry Birds inspired, physics-based mobile game that lets players choose a political party to sling, ding and wing at opposing parties. In addition to its simple and addictive gameplay for launching political candidates' heads at their adversaries, the game deploys original audio sound bites from the 2012 presidential candidates and politicians. At the end of every level of game play win or lose, these politicians and presidential candidates recite memorable exclaiming quotes. Play as a Republican, Democrat or even an Occupied Movement member.
Levels including President Obama, Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney and the colorful cast from the Occupied Movement are only available in the Pro version. Enjoy launching and defeating characters in this historical upcoming presidential election, illustrated in animated cartoon glory.
"Mobvie.com" released some of the Apple rejection details below:
14.1: Any app that is defamatory, offensive, mean-spirited, or likely to place the targeted individual or group in harm's way will be rejected.
22.2: Apps that contain false, fraudulent or misleading representations will be rejected.
"We just recently changed the name to 'Mad Elections' and removed the alleged offensive, controversial audio outtakes to address some of Apple's rejection details and resubmitted back to Apple. In the meantime we will continue to push forward supporting the Android and Amazon Kindle Fire versions updating those with new content as the election season progresses," said Mr. Moore.
Angry Elections was successfully launched on the Android platform on July 3rd http://goo.gl/UtLfm. A full version of Angry Elections is now available for $.99 in the U.S. on Google Play and Amazon App store for Kindle Fire. It is priced accordingly in other regions worldwide.
