Apple Butter 5K Run/Walk Brings Community Together For Fun And Physical Activity

ORRVILLE, Ohio, Sept. 11, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Online registration is underway for the Third Annual Apple Butter 5K Run/Walk in Orrville on September 15^th. The Apple Butter 5K Run/Walk was created as a way to bring the community together, encourage physical activity and create lasting memories for all involved. Proceeds of the race benefit Heartland Point, a community connecting place where citizens of all ages can find out what is happening in the Orrville community, become more involved and engage in lifelong learning.

Pre-registration fees are $20 for individuals and $72 for a family or group of at least four participants. Online registration is available at http://www.rsracingsystems.com through September 13 at 8:00 p.m.

Race-day registration begins at 8:00 a.m. with fees of $25 for individuals and $88 for a family or group.

The Apple Butter 5K Run/Walk is an Ohio Challenge Series certified event and course. The challenging road course suits serious runners, as well as walkers and families of all ages and activity levels.

This year's event features a post-race breakfast with many family favorite menu choices. Whether you are running or cheering on your favorite racer, all on site for the race are welcome to the breakfast taking place on The J.M. Smucker Company Corporate Campus at One Strawberry Lane, Orrville, Ohio.
