Appirio Helps Year Up Implement Salesforce Analytics Cloud and Empower Urban Young Adults to Go From Poverty to Professional Success
Nonprofit Organization Year Up Effectively Delivers on its Mission through the Integration of Salesforce Analytics Cloud
SAN FRANCISCO, July 29, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Appirio, a global cloud services company, today announced it has entered into an agreement with Year Up, a nonprofit organization which empowers urban young adults with the skills, experience and support they need to reach professional success, to implement Salesforce Analytics Cloud. Year Up will use the platform to measure the effectiveness of its programs by analyzing large quantities of data and identifying areas for improvement.
"We envision a future in which every urban young adult will have access to the education, experiences and guidance they need to succeed in today's professional arena," said Jim Thie, CIO at Year Up. "New analytics tools continue to assist us in the optimization of our program, and Salesforce Analytics Cloud coupled with Appirio's implementation services seemed like a solid solution."
In the next decade, 14 million jobs requiring postsecondary education will go unfilled. At the same time, six million young adults today are without a job and out of school. The goal of the agreement between Appirio and Year Up is to better address this Opportunity Divide, using cloud analytics to organize and understand large quantities of information stored across various internal databases. Year Up is looking to modernize its program by eliminating the use of spreadsheets that require constant updating and consolidating Salesforce data into two separate dashboards to illustrate donation trends. This includes:
- Fundraising Analysis -- One of the primary reasons Year Up has grown to 14 sites across the country is through fundraising. The organization is planning to double that number in the next 3-5 years. Appirio has worked with the Year Up fundraising group to give them the ability to dig much deeper into their fundraising numbers.
- Donor Management -- Year Up manages its relationships with its donors closely. Using the Salesforce Analytics Cloud, Year Up can now do a deep dive into its donor data, including things like recording meetings with donors by year, quarter, month, site, and the different types of tasks, donors, meetings and then compare and link all these points directly against revenue data.
"Information is one of the most valuable assets of any organization, especially nonprofits. Having the right tools and expertise to analyze a large quantity of operational data is the key," says Glenn Weinstein, SVP of Global Services at Appirio. "We are excited to support Year Up in its mission - to help change the lives of young people - by upgrading its analytics capabilities so they can get business insights more quickly and efficiently."
