AppDynamics Launches Free Self-Service Version of AppDynamics Pro, Enabling "Do It Yourself" App Management for App Teams
Represents the World's First Self-Service APM Trial that's Accessible via the Web and Designed for Distributed Apps
SAN FRANCISCO, June 26, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- AppDynamics, Inc., the next-generation application performance management (APM) solution that simplifies the management of complex apps, today announced the release of a self-service version of AppDynamics Pro. Available as a Software-as-a-Service deployment or as a downloadable On-Premise deployment, the self-service version of AppDynamics Pro is available free for 15 days and enables the monitoring of complex environments within minutes.
The availability of a self-service edition of AppDynamics Pro is unprecedented in the world of IT software. Existing self-service APM trials are not "enterprise ready" and only monitor small, simplistic environments--but AppDynamics Pro allows the monitoring of multiple JVM or Window OS instances, enabling complete visibility and fast root-cause diagnostics in a multi-tier application.
"For years AppDynamics has offered a free download available that equips developers and operations with the ability to monitor a single server. Now we're raising the bar on our 'free to try' strategy and making our entire Pro edition available for two weeks, all via the web, and all for free," said Jyoti Bansal, Founder & CEO of AppDynamics. "AppDynamics believes that enterprise software should be as easy to use and free to try as consumer software—and we know that once users try us and see the results for themselves, they will be amazed by the visibility and root-cause diagnostic capability they achieve in even the most complex apps."
AppDynamics continues to dominate and disrupt the APM landscape, beating legacy vendors in enterprise deals 90% of the time. In May, the company announced record Q1 revenue growth of 142%, which capped off 13 consecutive quarters of sequential growth. In that same month, AppDynamics announced the addition of Qualcomm, BJC, Fandango, UPS, Lockheed Martin, and Kroger, as well as the United Kingdom's National Health Service and BSkyB, Brazil's Petrobas, and France's EuropCar to the company's customer roster.
AppDynamics stands at the forefront of a generational change regarding how web applications are managed: modern applications are no longer monolithic in nature but are highly distributed and dynamic, fueled by architectural trends like Cloud, Big Data and Agile Development. The phenomenal growth and success of AppDynamics to date is due to its ability to address this generational shift in web architectures with the next generation of application performance management technology.
AppDynamics Pro is currently available via self-service for Java and .NET applications now.
