AppDynamics Demonstrates Over 150% Quarterly Growth Fueled by Demand from Enterprise Customers
Recent Enterprise Customer Wins Include DIRECTV, The Weather Channel & T-Systems
SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 12, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- AppDynamics, Inc., the next-generation application performance monitoring (APM) solution that simplifies the management of complex apps, today announced another record quarter of year-over-year sales growth. AppDynamics grew over 150% during the 3rd calendar quarter of 2013. This latest increase in sales caps 15 quarters of uninterrupted growth.
Throughout 2013, AppDynamics has steadily displaced existing legacy APM vendors and continues its dominance as the preferred APM solutions provider for enterprise and mid-market organizations looking to simplify management of their complex, business-critical application environments and dramatically improve application performance. In the last six months, the company continued to add marquee customers across multiple industry segments such as DIRECTV, The Weather Channel, KPMG, and T-Systems. In addition, the company's Net Promoter Score (NPS), a measure of customer satisfaction, rose from 81 to 84.
2013 has been a year of milestones for AppDynamics. In October, AppDynamics announced the launch of Real-time Business Metrics, a new functionality in AppDynamics Pro that allows its customers to easily correlate application performance and business metrics like revenue. With this feature, AppDynamics users can easily instrument their application to collect, monitor and alert on business metrics like revenue per transaction, number of orders and more. This feature allows application owners to more easily understand how application performance affects the business, and to make more informed decisions about where IT resources should be allocated.
In September, AppDynamics announced platform support for Node.js, iOS and Android devices, so customers can now manage the performance of mobile and web applications in a single pane of glass. In June, AppDynamics launched the free self-service version of AppDynamics Pro, which was unprecedented in the world of IT software and enabled the management of complex environments within minutes. In July, they launched AppDynamics X, an open exchange where customers, partners and third-party developers can use and contribute extensions and integrations for AppDynamics Pro.
"Our incredible growth this year is a real testament to the depth of talent we have attracted to AppDynamics," said Jyoti Bansal, Founder and CEO of AppDynamics. "We're very grateful to our customers for helping us drive this incredible momentum. We believe our growth this year is validation of both our customers' love for our product and the massive, multi-billion dollar opportunity that's in front of us."
