AppDynamics Announces Revenue Growth of 142% and 13 Quarters of Consecutive Growth
2013 Enterprise Customer Wins Include Kroger, Fandango, and Qualcomm
SAN FRANCISCO, May 7, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- AppDynamics, Inc., the next-generation application performance management (APM) solution that simplifies the management of complex apps, today announced record Q1 revenue growth of 142%, which caps off 13 consecutive quarters of sequential growth.
2013 has seen AppDynamics establish itself as the premier APM provider for enterprise organizations, including high-profile customers such as Qualcomm, BJC, Fandango, UPS, Lockheed Martin, and Kroger, as well as the United Kingdom's National Health Service and BSkyB, Brazil's Petrobas, and France's EuropCar.
"We've set our sights on aggressive growth targets in the enterprise space, and we're pleased to report we're exceeding those targets through the sheer customer demand for what our solution can deliver," said Joe Sexton, President of Worldwide Field Operations for AppDynamics. "Given the rapidly changing technological demands being placed on most companies today, I'm not surprised we're beating out other APM vendors for new business. In fact, our win rate in 2013 has been phenomenal: 80% against Compuware, 93% against New Relic, and 100% against CA Wily. I personally believe that has a lot to do with our company's amazing Net Promoter Score of 82, and the fact that enterprise companies need the most robust and adaptable APM platforms possible in order to stay competitive."
AppDynamics also achieved several other milestones in the first part of 2013. In January, the company secured a $50 million funding round from top VC firms. In March, AppDynamics unveiled the first Application Run Book Automation solution that addresses business impact within seconds; using real-time analytics, the Run Book solution allows companies to monitor and manage application performance with a single product. Also in March, AppDynamics extended support beyond JAVA and .NET to include the PHP platform. In the same month, the company released AppDynamics for Databases, a database monitoring platform that provides insight into database performance issues. The database offers universal database diagnostics covering Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, Sybase, PostgreSQL, and MySQL database platforms.
"Companies worldwide are responding to AppDynamics' disruptive approach to application performance management," said Jyoti Bansal, Founder and CEO of AppDynamics. "We're standing at the forefront of a generational change regarding how web applications are managed: modern applications are no longer monolithic in nature but are highly distributed and dynamic, fueled by architectural trends like Cloud, Big Data and Agile Development. As a result, we're leading the charge in next-generation management technology to address this generational shift in web architectures. We've also combined that unique technology platform with an 'easy-to-use' approach that enables Development and Operations teams to be up and running on AppDynamics within minutes."
