Autoliv, Inc. Analyst Notes
On June 27, 2014, Autoliv, Inc. (Autoliv) announced that it has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MOU) regarding the settlement of its pending US class action securities lawsuit. The Company has entered into a MOU with the plaintiff, Construction Laborers Pension Trust of Greater St. Louis, under which the parties have an agreement in principle to settle the lawsuit and the claims of the alleged class for a payment of $22.5 million. Autoliv informed that it expects to record a net expense of approximately $4.5 million in its Q2 2014 results, with the remaining amount will be paid by its insurance carrier. Further, the Company stated that the proposed agreement is not to be considered as an admission of wrongdoing or acceptance of fault by Autoliv or any of the individuals named in the complaint.
