App developers select Rivetz to enable cyber-security protection
Bitcoin, messaging, and storage get state-of-the-art hardware security
LAS VEGAS, Jan. 8, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Rivetz Corp. today announced the expansion of its community of software partners. Chadder, Gem, and Storj will now be able to offer their customers hardware-security based protections that will leverage the built-in cyber-security layer already deployed on Intel and ARM powered devices.
Partners will enhance their customers' transaction security via RivetzSDK which offers software developers a turnkey integration platform to rapidly integrate their client apps with local hardware security for Trusted Execution and key management.
Rivetz provides protection for both private keys and sensitive data processing via its RivetzSDK solution. RivetzSDK also integrates support for high assurance verification of the user's desired intent. Rivetz brings state-of-the-art cyber protections and real-time integrity verification to a consumer's daily computing experience.
Rivetz provides software developers:
- Tamper-resistant storage of secret keys leveraging advanced hardware isolation
- Isolated hardware environment for Bitcoin account key generation, message encryption, privacy keys and identity keys
- Device pairing, attestation and backup for a seamless and reliable experience across a collection of devices
- Compatibility with more than half a billion devices that support trusted execution capabilities and secure display
Rivetz is dedicated to simplifying the use of the advanced device security capabilities in state-of the-art devices from phones to tablets and PCs. The enhanced cyber-security is built-in, providing a simple and safe environment for the consumer. The result provides app developers with stronger, more valuable and private relationships with their users.
"Every day millions of people struggle to remember their passwords," said Steven Sprague, Rivetz Founder and CEO. "Stolen credentials and loss of personal information are becoming an everyday news and personal event. Each day software developers face the risk of massive attacks and security breaches exposing their customers' confidential details. Rivetz secures customers' devices from being exposed to such breaches, and protects software development companies from financial exposure and embarrassment."
"Users are increasingly aware that legacy systems only offer the illusion of security," said Shawn Wilkinson, Founder and Lead Developer of Storj. "Rivetz represents a fundamental shift in the security model where the device itself is the basis of security rather than some remote third-party-server. This is extremely useful to our distributed cloud storage system, allowing us to mitigate many of the security flaws that plague most cloud systems."
"We're pleased to be a Rivetz Integration Partner," said Gem Co-founder and CEO, Micah Winkelspecht, "and eager to partner with Rivetz to extend the Gem developer platform with a seamless hardware-based security system. We strongly believe hardware security combined with multi-signature technology are the lynchpins that will drive trust in Bitcoin and ultimately the success of the entire crypto-currency industry."
Rivetz secured Bitcoin transactions will be showcased at CoinDebut part of the Startup Debut event at The Bali Hai Golf Course and Country Club in Las Vegas, and during CES at booth 75461 in the Sands Expo Convention Center.
