Apangea Learning Names Kevin McAliley as CEO
PITTSBURGH, Sept. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Apangea Learning (www.apangea.com), a leader in online tutoring to remediate K-12 students announced today that Kevin McAliley has been appointed Chief Executive Officer. Kevin brings 14 years experience as a CEO of specialized educational companies.

Prior to joining Apangea, McAliley was CEO of Triumph Learning, the award-winning remediation and test prep company, where he led its revenue growth from $15MM to $86MM. Kevin was also the CEO of Channel One Communications, the world's largest private satellite network, and Films Media Group, which under his leadership tripled in size in less than 4 years.
Kevin has been the principal in over $500MM of mergers and acquisitions in educational media, and has been a featured speaker at Software and Information Industry Association, EdNET and the Association of Educational Publisher events. He has an undergraduate degree from Harvard and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
