LONDON and BRUSSELS, February 7, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --
Special presentation on 21 February in Brussels
- Aon Hewitt (http://www.aonhewitt.com), the global human resource consulting and outsourcing business of Aon Corporation (NYSE:AON), has announced that on 21 February it will present the results of its seventh European Human Resource Barometer (http://www.aon.com/human-capital-consulting/thought-leadership/leadership/article_EuropeanHRBarometer.jsp), the survey of senior HR professionals from leading companies in Europe. The event will take place in Brussels at the premises of the European Club for Human Resources (EChr), Avenue de Cortenbergh, 168.
The survey, which Aon Hewitt conducted in partnership with the EChr, took place between December 2011 and January 2012 and gained views from more than 50 leading organisations from a wide range of industries and executives across Europe.
The event in Brussels on 21 February will be an opportunity to review new pan-European trends and perspectives emerging from the survey results, and in particular:
- the changing business drivers and priorities of people management for 2012 to 2014;
- the impact of actions taken to face a volatile economic environment, new investment plans and HR leaders' expectations for 2012;
- an assessment of the performance of HR-related activities and changes foreseen in the respondents' organisations; and
- the priorities expressed by HR leaders for changes to the EU policy agenda for overcoming unemployment and skills mis-matches.
Leonardo Sforza, head of Research at Aon Hewitt and chair of the EChr Scientific Committee will give a preview and analysis of the HR Barometer results. Jean Dominique Perret, senior vice-president for Human Resources and member of the board at Rexel, will share his board's perspective for translating the learnings from the 2012 survey results into more efficient corporate practices.
Leonardo Sforza, who has pioneered the HR Barometer since its launch in 2005, said:
"This year's results will yield fresh insights to the business community and to EU policy makers on the key challenges faced by people managers in a tough economic environment. The results will also shed more light on the changes in management approaches that are required to strengthen the impact and adequacy of HR practices in the pursuit of sustainable business performance."
