"Risks in the municipal sector are unlike those in any other industry, and special attention is required to effectively mitigate threats," said John Willett, national industry practice group leader for Aon Risk Solutions. "In this troubled economy, municipalities see the value of having a dedicated team of risk experts to help manage tremendous exposures, such as those facing police and firefighters, high concentration and unique property portfolios, and risks of injury to the employee base."
The Public Entity practice provides specialty brokerage, consulting, risk control, claims services and construction-related products for public entities. In addition, the team brings unmatched talent and expertise from Aon eSolutions, the technology solutions division of Aon, and Aon Hewitt, the leading human resource consulting and outsourcing business of Aon.
Becker has more than 20 years of experience providing risk consulting services to government entities, and designing and implementing hundreds of risk management programs for all types of government and quasi-government bodies, including airports, transit systems, public school systems, and water and sewer authorities. In addition to Becker, Carleen Patterson, Steven Kahn and Jose Peralta also join the Public Entity practice effective today.
