AnyDATA Announces LTE-based Hybrid Satellite/Terrestrial Wireless Modules and Devices for the New LightSquared Network

IRVINE, Calif., Oct. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- AnyDATA Corporation, a global leader in the design and manufacture of wireless communications devices, announces they will develop modules and USB modems for the LightSquared LTE network. These innovative AnyDATA LTE devices will enable a new generation of consumer electronic and industrial M2M products to have wireless broadband connection literally anywhere in the continental U.S.

The AnyDATA wireless devices will operate on the LightSquared L-band satellite network that utilizes EGAL (Enhanced Geostationary Air Link) technology as well as their terrestrial LTE network and will be available in 2011. Additionally, the AnyDATA LTE modules and modems will operate on existing cellular networks that utilize HSPA/HSUPA/HSDPA as well as GSM/GPRS/EDGE technologies.  

The AnyDATA wireless module is ideal for portable computing devices that benefit from truly ubiquitous, high speed Internet connectivity. The module will utilize industry standard USB 2.0 interface and mini-PCIE form factor to simplify integration of the module into netbooks, notebooks, tablets, and other consumer electronic devices as well as industrial products for Machine to Machine (M2M) wireless communications.  

The AnyDATA USB modem enables existing portable computers to connect to the LightSquared network where connections at speeds comparable to a wired broadband Internet connection are possible. The USB modem enables connectivity to the LightSquared network so wireless subscribers can enjoy incredibly fast Internet browsing and file transfers without ever worrying about coverage.
