Any Debt Ceiling Compromise Must Keep Promise to Nation's Veterans
Urges Paralyzed Veterans of America
WASHINGTON, July 27, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Paralyzed Veterans of America (Paralyzed Veterans) is urging the White House and Congress to keep America's promise to her veterans — and to ensure that any compromise on the debt ceiling should not be at the expense of those who served and sacrificed for freedoms.
"Veterans have paid-in-full for their health care and benefits, through service and sacrifice. They were ready to defend us in good economic times and bad. We must keep our promise to them," said Bill Lawson, Paralyzed Veterans' national president. "Surely this is one issue that all politicians of all persuasions can enthusiastically support."
At this time, no compromise has been reached.

Paralyzed Veterans of America ~ Changing Lives, Building Futures
Paralyzed Veterans of America ("Paralyzed Veterans") was founded by a group of seriously injured heroes from the "Greatest Generation" of World War II. They created the organization to meet the challenges they faced head-on—from a medical community not ready to treat them to an inaccessible world. For more than 65 years, Paralyzed Veterans' national office and 34 chapters across the nation have been making America a better place for all veterans and people with disabilities. (www.PVA.org)
