Antioch University Los Angeles Adds Four New Members to Board of Trustees
The new members will join a distinguished panel of community leaders
CULVER CITY, Calif., Nov. 18, 2010 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Antioch University Los Angeles today announced the appointment of four new members to the AULA Board of Trustees. These new members include Carl H Davis, Alex Fortunati, Jack Illes, and Mary Power. Current Board Members Dianna Wong, Elmer Bugg, Jr., and Russell Sun have been appointed Board Chair, Vice-Chair, and Treasurer, respectively.

Carl H Davis, CIMA, full-time partner and co-founder of the Ladera Group of Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, LLC, distinguished himself early in his financial services career as one of the first African American Branch Managers for EF Hutton, a major New York Stock Exchange firm. As partner of the Ladera Group and as a Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA), Mr. Davis integrates a complex body of investment knowledge and applies it systematically and ethically to assist clients in making prudent investment decisions.
Alex Fortunati, Chairman and CEO of Support Services of America, Inc., a nationwide facility services company, currently serves on the Boards of several community organizations including Hispanic 100 and the Latin Business Association. Mr. Fortunati received his PKE-Masters in Business Administration from Pepperdine University and is certified in Human Resource Management from UCLA.
Jack Illes, senior partner of the Urban Strategies Group at Cassidy Turley BRE, a real estate advisory group focused on Southern California's downtowns, coastal communities and urbanizing suburban areas, has demonstrated throughout his career a talent for creating unique solutions to a wide variety of real estate challenges. Mr. Illes' pro bono activities include efforts to preserve historic civic buildings such as the Old Police Headquarters in San Diego, and updating the Local Coastal Plan for Marina Del Rey.
Mary E. Power, of J.D. Power and Associates, has given more that half of her life to the previously family owned and operated global information company. Most recently, Mary was responsible for all phases of syndicated satisfaction studies conducted in the U.S. and European region. Ms. Power is a director of the Kenrose Kitchen Table Foundation which focuses on innovative medical research and education, and sits on the Board of Trustees of the Southern California Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
