NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y., May 15, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Anthony D. Parone, Esq., is a distinguished biographee of Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are chosen from among a pool of the most prominent professionals and are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
With almost six decades of professional excellence to his credit, Mr. Parone is currently active as a private practice lawyer in Niagara Falls, a position he has held since 1968. Spending roughly seven years in other legal roles before establishing his own practice, he began his career as general counsel for the Conbow Corporation and a lawyer with Gellman & Gellman in Niagara Falls in 1961. Following these appointments, he moved across the country to serve as assistant general counsel for the National General Corporation in Los Angeles from 1965 to 1966. Returning to New York, Mr. Parone was active as an associate at Saperston, Wiltse, Duke, Day & Wilson in Buffalo from 1966 to 1968.
Specializing in corporate and real estate law, Mr. Parone credits his first employer, Jack E. Gellman, with giving him the skills that he needed to succeed. Outside of his primary career endeavors, he has donated his time to a number of other professional organizations. Notably, he was trustee of the Stella Niagara Education Park in New York for over a decade beginning in 1978. A longstanding member of the Niagara County Bar Association, Mr. Parone also served as president of the association in 1983.
While Mr. Parone cannot pinpoint one specific reason for his choice to pursue a career in law, he knows that it has been something that has always interested him. His uncle in particular, though not a lawyer himself, greatly encouraged him throughout his education. Embarking on his studies at the University at Buffalo in New York, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1957, a Bachelor of Laws in 1960 and a Doctor of Jurisprudence in 1968. Mr. Parone also obtained a Master of Laws in taxation from New York University in 1961.
First licensed to practice law by the New York State Bar in 1960, Mr. Parone was admitted to practice by the State Bar of California in 1966. That same year, he was also admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Southern District of California and, in 1980, he was admitted before the United States District Court for the Western District of New York.
Mr. Parone eloped to marry Josephine A. Zoda since 1965, but, unfortunately his wife passed. Mr. Parone is the proud father of one daughter, Deborah Lyn, and grandfather to two wonderful grandchildren. A proud Democrat, he enjoys spending his free time golfing and spending time with his family. Looking towards the future, he intends to retire in several years, but for the time being, his law practice is still going strong. Mr. Parone has previously been featured in the fourth edition of Who's Who in American Law and the 66th edition of Who's Who in America.
