Antenna CMO, Jim Somers, to speak on key enterprise mobility panel at the event
JERSEY CITY, N.J., Feb. 20, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Enterprise mobility specialist Antenna Software announced today it has been shortlisted as a finalist for GSMA's 18th annual Global Mobile Awards, in the Best Enterprise Mobile Service category, for the second time in three years. The Global Mobile Award winners will be announced during this year's Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, starting next week from February 25-27. Antenna's chief marketing and strategy officer, Jim Somers, will also participate in a highly anticipated enterprise mobility panel at the event on Wednesday, February 27.
Antenna's mobility platform AMPchroma™ was launched at Mobile World Congress just last year, and this year is nominated for the Best Enterprise Mobile Service, the same award it won in 2011 for its flagship product, Antenna Mobility Platform™ (AMP).
"Reflecting the intensity of competition and innovation across the mobile ecosystem, we saw a record 600 entries and an exceptionally high quality field of contenders vying for this year's Global Mobile Awards," said Michael O'Hara, Chief Marketing Officer, GSMA. "It is a significant achievement to have made the shortlist, and our warmest congratulations go to all the nominees this year. We look forward to the unveiling of the winners at the Mobile World Congress this month."
In addition to the awards reception, Antenna is excited to have Somers participating in the "Future of the Enterprise: Can Mobility Transform the Business" panel. During the discussion, chaired by IDC analyst Nick McQuire, Somers will explore the challenges businesses of all sizes and industries face when embracing mobility to achieve tangible business benefits, and the importance of mobile strategy. The discussion will also explore whether the burgeoning Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) culture is a help or hindrance to these objectives. The session is being held on Wednesday, February 27th at 2:00 p.m. CET in Hall 4 – Conference Village – Auditorium 3 at the Fira Gran Via.
