ANSI Board Names Volunteer Leaders for 2015
NEW YORK, Dec. 11, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Board of Directors has announced its new members and officers for the term beginning January 1, 2015.
Kevan Lawlor, president and CEO of NSF International, was appointed for a first one-year term as ANSI's chair of the board. Mr. Lawlor most recently served as an ANSI Board vice chairman and has also chaired the Board's Audit Committee.
Arthur Cote, P.E., supported by NFPA, will continue in the role of immediate past chairman.
Supporting the chairman will be four vice chairs: GP Russ Chaney, CEO of IAPMO; Mary McKiel, president and CEO of The McKiel Group; David Miller, director of standards at the American Petroleum Institute (API); and Mary Saunders, associate director for management resources (ADMR) at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).
The following individuals have been elected to the Board as directors-at-large for terms beginning January 1, 2015:

- Richard Church, CM Services Inc.
- Nancy Cowles, Kids In Danger
- Donald Deutsch, Oracle
- Edward Manns, SAE International

- Gregory Saunders, U.S. Department of Defense
- Jana Schey, Energistics
- Paris Stavrianidis, FM Approvals
- James Thomas, ASTM International
- Timothy West, Deere & Company
In addition, the following Board members will serve as ANSI Member Forum chairs: Kathleen Thuner, National Association of Consumer Agency Administrators (Consumer Interest Forum); Richard Forselius, Sikorsky Aircraft Company/United Technologies Corp. (Company Member Forum); Scott Colburn, U.S. Food and Drug Administration (Government Member Forum); and Mary Logan, Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (Organizational Member Forum).
Individuals retiring from the Board at the end of 2014 include:

- R. David Pittle, consumer representative
