Anritsu's ME7873L LTE RF Conformance Test System Achieves Validation Status for 80% of LTE RF Test Cases
RICHARDSON, Texas, Nov. 8, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Anritsu announces that its ME7873L LTE RF Conformance Test System (RFCT) is the first to achieve Global Certification Forum (GCF) test case validations for 80% of the initial batch of LTE RF test cases required for wireless device certification. The 80% threshold was passed for Transmit (TX), Receive (RX), and Performance test cases in Work Item 80 (Band 13 and 1), with validation work continuing in both, as well as other globally defined LTE bands. These validations support the efforts of leading LTE operators that require certified UEs in order to launch their networks.
Simultaneously, Anritsu announces that the ME7873L is the only RFCT platform to offer GCF-validated Radio Resource Management (RRM) test cases. This includes validation of 40% of the RRM Priority 1 test cases for Band 13.
"Anritsu is honored to announce this milestone and support the LTE industry in the goal of starting UE certification testing in 2010," stated Wade Hulon, Vice President and General Manager, Anritsu Americas. "Our announcement would not have been possible without our participation in standards organizations and certification bodies, including GCF. We thank our partners in the wireless industry that have supported us in reaching this goal."
The ME7873L RFCT is an integrated TX, RX, Performance, and RRM test system supporting users' test needs in four scalable configurations. Validations for the ME7873L are progressing rapidly in both GCF and PTCRB in order to support certification of first-to-market LTE UEs. Testing in either a test call or no-call test mode is available, with support for bands 1 to 14, 17, and 20. Combined W-CDMA and LTE configurations are available, supporting W-CDMA testing from Rel. 99 to Rel. 7, as well as LTE with simultaneous testing of both technologies. A variety of options are available for the ME7873L, including LTE to C2K handover.
The ME7832L LTE Protocol Conformance Test System is also available, offering industry-leading stability and test case repeatability to support both CT as well as unattended regression testing for LTE UEs. Validations are ongoing with this system as well in order to support the industry's start of LTE UE certification by the end of 2010.
