RICHARDSON, Texas, April 16, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Anritsu Company announces that its Network Master™ Flex MT1100A/Network Master Pro MT1000A handheld transport testers and MP1800A BERT Signal Quality Analyzer have earned Lightwave Innovation Awards. The annual optical communications technology recognition program ranked the MT1100A/MT1000A as leading field test equipment solutions and the MP1800A as one of the top lab/production test instruments.

The MP1800A BERT earned a 4.5 out of a possible 5.0. Of the MP1800A, one judge commented, "There are a few new features that make it an advancement over predecessors, and these new features are crucial to multichannel phase modulation techniques."
Anritsu has developed a unique synchronization function for the MP1800A. With the feature, up to four Signal Quality Analyzer units can be configured as an ultra-high-speed transmission test system that supports up to 1 Tbit/s.
Earning a 4.0 score, the Network Master Flex MT1100A/Network Master Pro MT1000A transport testers were deemed to be "excellent products with technical features and performance that provide clear and substantial benefits." According to one judge, the platform's "combination of flexibility and simplicity minimizes operational expenditures."
The versatile modular platform of the MT1100A/MT1000A supports bit rates from 1.5 Gbps to >100 Gbps. It supports testing of emerging OTN networks, including ODU0, ODU2e, ODU4 and ODUflex, as well as legacy Ethernet, Fibre Channel, SDH/SONET, and PDH/DSn systems.
A panel of 11 well-respected industry experts ranging from journalists to representatives of industry leading carriers and manufacturers voted on all the entrants. Winners were announced during the OFC 2015 conference and exposition in Los Angeles.
