-- Worldwide Leader in Field Test Instrumentation Determines Wayne Bradley of Intellecom Communications Has Toughest Site in United States --
MORGAN HILL, Calif., Sept. 3, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Donn Mulder, VP/General Manager of Anritsu's Microwave Measurements Division (MMD), announces that Wayne Bradley of Intellecom Communications in Las Vegas has won the Toughest Site Competition 2013, which recognized the challenges faced every day by field engineers and technicians responsible for deploying, installing, and maintaining wireless networks. Anritsu will present Bradley, whose winning site is located on Mount Potosi, Nevada, with a 2013 Harley-Davidson® motorcycle for earning the distinction of having the toughest cell site in the United States.

"We received a number of entries that epitomize the technical and environmental challenges field technicians overcome on a daily basis to ensure wireless networks operate according to specification. We thank all the professionals who entered the contest, as we had more submissions this year than ever before. While all were worthy, after careful deliberation, we determined that Wayne had the Toughest Site in the United States," said Mulder.
Bradley's story included having to scale an 8,500-foot mountain during a frigid, face-numbing evening to repair a downed LTE site in the dead of night. Using the Site Master™ S332D handheld cable and antenna analyzer, Bradley and his crew conducted distance-to-fault (DTF) and return loss measurements, as well as voltage tests. They were able to solve the problem and return the site to service, earning well-deserved praise for their work.
Anritsu also presented 11 finalists with GoPro® cameras. Among the finalists were J. Lapham, Valley Springs, CA; B.Parrish, Nashville, TN; B. Mobley, Payette, ID; K. Rivers, Kansas City, MO; M. Krick, Kingman, AZ; and A. Keener, Dallas, GA. The remaining finalists will be published first week in September.
