Another Exploding Crock Pot Lawsuit Filed By Law Offices of Jason Turchin
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., March 26, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- The Law Offices of Jason Turchin announces that it filed another product liability lawsuit against Sunbeam Products, Inc. and Newell Brands, Inc. on behalf of a man injured as a result of an exploding Crock Pot Electric Pressure Cooker. The lawsuit is titled Knight v. Sunbeam Products, Inc. and Newell Brands, Inc. and was filed in the Circuit Court in and for Palm Beach County, Florida under Case # 502020CA002367XXXXMB.
Knight, like other victims, alleges that he was using a Crock Pot electric pressure cooker according to its instructions when it suddenly and without warning exploded boiling hot contents on him, causing severe injuries. Knight alleges that the Crock Pot's numerous safety features failed to work properly, and that the pressure cooker was allegedly defective.
Product liability attorney Jason Turchin continues to handle pressure cooker burn injury claims throughout the United States. He was lead counsel in IN Re: Tristar Pressure Cooker Litigation, and filed numerous product liability lawsuits against pressure cooker manufacturers and distributors.
"There appears to be something specific to electric pressure cookers that are causing them to fail while still under pressure. With all of the advertised safety features, these cookers should not be able to open while still pressurized," says Turchin.
Turchin wants victims to know there are options. "Companies may try to get victims to send their defective pressure cookers back, or may offer a replacement, but this is not enough," says Turchin. "Under the law, these victims may be entitled to compensation for pain and suffering, medical expenses, future expenses for things like scar revision surgery, and other expenses that the insurance companies for the pressure cooker companies should consider."
