Annual eBay Motors People's Picks Competition Kicks Off - Ladies and Gentlemen, Start Arguing!

SAN JOSE, Calif., July 25, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- eBay Motors, the largest online marketplace for buying and selling all things automotive, is once again opening the floor for enthusiasts to settle some of the greatest auto debates of all time. The second annual eBay Motors People's Picks is now underway, giving car lovers the chance to vote on the best cars, parts and accessories with an international audience. Voters are entered to win a trip to the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show in Las Vegas, and $10,000 cash, just by participating.

Categories up for debate include the best American Muscle Cars, Motorsports, Import Tuner, Super Cars, Trucks, Four Wheeler/Off Road, Classic European, Motorcycles, Cars in Culture, and Modern Foreign and Domestic. Auto brands in the running for People's Picks can easily integrate the survey into their Facebook pages and websites to inspire their respective loyal fan bases.

New this year: participants can vote via the eBay Motors iPhone app. By doing so, car buffs instantly enter to win one of the two iPad 2 tablets eBay Motors is giving away each week during People's Picks.

An extension of the eBay Motors online experience, the iPhone app also includes the 'My Garage' feature, allowing consumers to customize parts searches for specific vehicles, share project and dream cars, as well as chart/share modifications on their own vehicles. More than 90,000 parts and 2,000 vehicles are purchased globally via eBay Mobile apps.
