"There are simply not enough qualified people to hire. A company's ability to find the best and brightest, advance and retain them equitably is a decisive competitive advantage," notes Luke Visconti, founder and CEO of DiversityInc. "The DiversityInc Top 50 have a decisive metrics-evidenced ability to treat people more fairly than other large companies. They also have a greater-than-average return for their shareholders."
DiversityInc's extensive annual survey yields an empirically driven ranking based on recruitment, talent development, senior leadership commitment and supplier diversity.
This year's competition was improved by new survey questions, increased emphasis on fairness over chasing numbers and more sophisticated analysis from our data scientists.
"The 10 percent increase in companies participating in the survey from a year ago proves that accountable leaders at these companies view diversity and inclusion as a key business measure," said Carolynn Johnson, DiversityInc's COO.
DiversityInc's annual Top 50 event brings together more than 1,000 people, including executives from nearly 200 companies, for the opportunity to learn, network and build business relationships with key leaders of organizations whose commitment to diversity and inclusion points the way. The learning sessions will focus on leveraging best practices such as diversity councils, mentoring and resource groups. Executives from top companies for diversity management will lead the panel discussions.
Evening entertainment will include Mariachi Flor de Toloache, the first and only established all-female mariachi band, and the night will conclude with Prince tribute band The Purple Xperience.
