ROCHESTER, Minn., March 24, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The Rochester Marriott and the Kahler Hospitality Group are pleased to announce the Grand Opening of Salute wine bar and more as the newest addition to the portfolio of delicious downtown dining experiences. Italian born Executive Chef Pasquale Presa, presents authentic dishes in a modern way, bringing the motto of vivi bene, mangia bene per la tua salute (Eat well, drink well to your health) to life. Utilizing local produce and delicious combinations, Chef Presa pairs heart healthy dishes with fragrant wines. Salute wine bar and more will have a ribbon cutting at 4:30pm on April 3^rd, 2014 to celebrate a new vibrant dining experience in downtown Rochester. Immediately following the ribbon cutting there will be a private grand opening reception, with the restaurant and bar being open to the public at 7:30pm.

Complimentary wine tasting is available daily in Salute's Cantina as well as monthly classes in wine education and pairing. The Cantina offers the Chef's selection of wines to taste daily from a barrel, a selection of imported olives and a delicatessen with fresh sandwiches and to-go lunch options.

In addition to the restaurant dining rooms, Salute's Italian Market affords imported products from Italy and Little Italy in New York for Rochester residents and visitors alike to enjoy. He graduated from the Culinary Institute of America class of 96', as well as being European trained. Presa has worked in a variety of locations including Boston, Los Angeles, New York City, West Hollywood and Kauai and Italy
