Announcement in Relation to Tender Offer to Acquire Shares of CIMPOR - CIMENTOS DE PORTUGAL, SGPS, S.A.

RIO DE JANEIRO, Jan. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Companhia Siderurgica Nacional ("CSN") hereby gives notice to the shareholders of CIMPOR – CIMENTOS DE PORTUGAL, SGPS, S.A. ("CIMPOR") that CSN has commenced in Portugal, through its indirect subsidiary CSN Cement S.a.r.l., a tender offer to acquire up to all of the shares issued by CIMPOR pursuant to the terms and conditions set forth in a prospectus, dated January 27, 2010, ("Prospectus") and governed by Portuguese law.
