Ann O'Leary To Join Boies Schiller Flexner
PALO ALTO, Calif., Jan. 18, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Boies Schiller Flexner is pleased to announce that Ann O'Leary will join the firm's Palo Alto Office as a partner. She will focus on providing legal counsel to leaders and organizations in the corporate, non-profit and philanthropic sectors, working at the intersection of policy, law, and politics to help them achieve their objectives. She will also assist clients in navigating high profile disputes, investigations, regulatory and compliance issues, and crisis management. For clients seeking to navigate policy and regulatory issues, her practice will serve as a bridge between Silicon Valley and Washington D.C.
O'Leary brings to the firm a distinguished record as a lawyer and policymaker. She most recently served as the co-Executive Director of the Clinton-Kaine Transition team and as Senior Policy Advisor to Hillary Clinton in her Presidential campaign, advising on some of the most critical policy issues from health care to education to job growth. Prior to joining Clinton's presidential campaign, she was a Senior Fellow at the Center for American Progress on the economic policy team; and she served as the Senior Vice President of Next Generation and Director of "Too Small to Fail," a public action campaign on early health and education, jointly launched by the Clinton Foundation and Next Generation.
She previously served as a lecturer in health law and social policy at UC Berkeley School of Law; executive director of the UC Berkeley Law Center on Health, Economic & Family Security; a deputy city attorney in San Francisco where she was a founding member of the City Attorney's Affirmative Litigation Task Force; legislative director to Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton; and she served on the White House Domestic Policy Council under President Clinton.
