Ann Arbor Google Fest Friday at University of Michigan Diag
ANN ARBOR, Mich., March 25 /PRNewswire/ --
WHAT: Google Fest is a grassroots movement to support Ann Arbor's bid for Google's high-speed fiber network. Activities will include:
- A flash mob gathering
- Dinner, drink, and retail discounts from downtown businesses
- Dance, singing, and comedy performances from student groups
- Free live music from noted local bands
- Laptop stations to send Google nomination forms
WHO: Students and community leaders.
WHEN: Friday, March 26th from 12-8 p.m. Specific times of activities are:
- Flash Mob 11:57 a.m. - 12 p.m.
- Student group performances 12 -5 p.m.
- Live music 5 – 8 p.m.
WHERE: The Diag on Central Campus at the University of Michigan.
WHY: Friday is the deadline for the City's application. This is Ann Arbor's last chance to show Google that it is united and enthusiastic to attract Google's high-speed fiber to the community.
