Anki Announces Former Apple Executive As Chief Financial Officer

SAN FRANCISCO, Jan. 12, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Anki, the robotics and artificial intelligence (AI) company today appointed Dominic Ruso as Chief Financial Officer. Ruso is a proven senior business leader and brings more than 30 years of experience to Anki. He will spearhead the financial side of the business as the company continues to successfully expand into new territories and markets. To date, Anki has raised $130 million in funding.

Ruso was formerly the CFO at Beats by Dr. Dre and served as the finance lead during the Apple integration. Prior to Beats, Ruso was the Channel Controller for EMEIA and held senior positions in Sales Finance in Cupertino. Before joining Apple, he spent many years at Cisco Systems, Inc., holding various senior positions in Finance and Operations.

Anki recently launched Anki OVERDRIVE in September 2015 and has been featured in top national gift guides including Today Show, Parents, Family Circle, CNET, Popular Mechanics, CNN and more. In the game, players command robotic Supercars using mobile devices as they battle and race on epic battlefields they construct in seconds.
