Anixter Launches Nationwide Seminar Series to Help Data Centers Improve Efficiency, Security and Sustainability
GLENVIEW, Ill., April 16 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Anixter is pleased to announce the launch of its 2010 Seminar Series, Solving the Data Center Optimization Puzzle: Infrastructure, Security and Sustainability. In today's challenging economic environment, data centers can struggle to maintain performance while addressing new business opportunities. In response, Anixter (NYSE: AXE) pulled together some of the leading resources from the data center and networking industries to help the next generation of data centers capture and implement emerging technologies in three fast-growing, highly evolving market segments.
Now in its 10th year, Anixter's Seminar Series continues to address the latest standards and technologies in the data center, security, telecommunications and sustainability fields to help end-users, and contractors/integrators draw insight from a variety of perspectives to understand emerging trends, capture new opportunities and avoid risk. As data center technologies and challenges have evolved, so has the format and presentation of Anixter's Seminar Series.
An innovative video presentation focusing on data center optimization will be broadcast in movie theaters in 11 cities in the U.S. and Canada. In addition to Anixter's technical experts, the presentation will feature interviews from representatives for the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA), the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the Green Grid and the Institute of Electrical & Electronics Engineers (IEEE). In addition to the video presentation and live panel, attendees will have the opportunity to interact with leading infrastructure and security manufacturers.
Speakers from IBM, the TIA, the IEEE and Security Technology Executive magazine will participate in the live panel. Many industry-leading manufacturers will also be present for networking. Topics covered in the presentation and live panel will be those that are most pressing to contractors, integrators, end-users, architects, consultants and engineers—from sustainability and the green movement to physical security and data center infrastructure. Attendees will have the opportunity to earn a BICSI continuing education credit.
