Animal Dermatology Clinic Announces Today Full Time Veterinary Dermatologist From Southern California Relocates to Marietta, GA Location
ATLANTA, April 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Animal Dermatology Clinic announces today the relocation of Dr. Joel Griffies, DACVD from our Southern California location to a full time position at our Marietta, GA location. Dr. Joel Griffies, a Diplomate in the field of veterinary dermatology has worked with Animal Dermatology Clinic since his residency in 1999. An original owner in the Marietta practice, he has dedicated his time to traveling across the country for the past six years to work at several of Animal Dermatology Clinic California locations as well as maintain a monthly presence in the Marietta practice. He has recently decided to transition out of the Southern California locations in 2010 to focus solely on the Marietta and surrounding areas' clientele.
"I am very excited about the opportunity to grow the Marietta location with Animal Dermatology Clinic. I have always been committed to the Marietta practice and have traveled from Southern California to Marietta, GA almost every month to see clients over the past six years. Although I will continue to travel back to Southern California to transition away from my clients there, I will have a great opportunity to offer more consistency to our current Marietta clients and our referring veterinarians," says owner Joel Griffies, DVM, DipACVD.
"We are sad to see Dr. Griffies leave our California practices but we are confident that this change will have a dramatically positive impact in our Marietta location. Working with our resident, Sarah Barlett, DVM as well as our highly trained Marietta staff, we will have a huge opportunity to better serve our Atlanta area clients," says Sharon Galan, Executive Director for Animal Dermatology Clinic.
Founded in 1980 by Dr. Craig Griffin, Animal Dermatology Clinic has the distinction of being the first privately owned clinic approved by the American College of Veterinary Dermatology to provide a residency program, and is the largest group of veterinary dermatologists across the globe. Since 1980, Animal Dermatology Clinic has expanded to include seven full time clinics in California, Georgia, Kentucky and Indiana, fourteen satellite locations throughout California, Georgia, Kentucky and Indiana, and more expansion is planned.
