Andy's Frozen Custard Signs 20-Store Multi-Unit Agreement
Largest Frozen Custard Chain in the USA Set to Open New Stores throughout the Midwest & South
SPRINGFIELD, Mo., April 8, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Andy's Frozen Custard (www.eatandys.com) has signed the largest multi-unit franchise agreement in its 29 year history. The agreement, which was recently announced by Andy Kuntz, president of Andy's Frozen Custard, will result in 20 new stores in the areas of Tulsa and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Dallas, Texas; Nashville, Tennessee, and various markets in Central Florida.
Andy's Frozen Custard is the largest "frozen custard only" concept in the United States, with 23 current locations and four additional stores under construction. "This recent development will enable us to continue on our growth trajectory and maintain our leadership position in the quick-service frozen dessert category," says Andy. Eric Reed, who was formerly the Director of New Store Development and a ten-year employee of Andy's Frozen Custard, left the corporate company to partner with this multi-unit franchisee. "With any expansion the first initial challenge will be finding great people," says Reed. "We will be looking to hire over 100 employees and managers within each territory."
"There is a definite difference between Andy's Frozen Custard and other frozen dessert shops. The difference comes from the quality of our ingredients, style of our treats and the modern retro architecture of our stores," says Todd Arth, Director of Corporate Operations.
In 1986, John and Carol Kuntz founded the business in Osage Beach, Mo., and named it after their son and current president, Andy. Today, Andy's Frozen Custard is the largest privately-owned frozen custard QSR in the country with more than 500 employees system-wide. Each Andy's Frozen Custard location is open year round with an approach that has been fairly simple; hire great people, treat them right, and create a product that is made fresh every hour with only the finest ingredients. Andy's Frozen Custard focuses on three main things: product quality, customer service, and community involvement. Now with locations throughout Missouri, Arkansas, Illinois, Oklahoma and Texas, these little custard shops offer customers a slice of hometown Americana, where "it's fun to be a kid for a while!"
