Andrews International Names John Timoney Senior Vice President of Business Development and Consulting & Investigations

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Andrews International, the largest privately-owned U.S. full-service provider of security and risk mitigation services, today announced that John F. Timoney has been named senior vice president of Business Development and Consulting & Investigations (C&I). Formerly the Chief of Police for the Miami Police Department, Timoney will oversee C&I operations and assist clients in making key business decisions leading to mitigating security risk in all facets of their business. Timoney will be based in Miami, Fla. and report to Ray O'Hara, executive vice president of Andrews International.

Since 2003, Timoney has served as the Chief of Police of the Miami Police Department. Prior to that, he spent 4 years as Police Commissioner in the Philadelphia Police Department where he commanded the department's 7,000 uniformed and 2,000 civilian members. Timoney's career also includes 29 years with the New York City Police Department, where he achieved the rank of First Deputy Police Commissioner. Additionally, Timoney has been a consultant for various government agencies, private companies and security providers. Due to his formidable expertise, he has spoken frequently with media outlets and at various events on all facets of security and risk mitigation.
