Andrews International Acquires A&S Security to Expand Delivery of Security Services in U.S. Western Region

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Andrews International today announced it has entered into an agreement to acquire A&S Security (A&S), a California-based full service security company. The acquisition furthers Andrews International's position as the largest privately-owned U.S. full-service provider of security and risk mitigation services. It also brings Andrews International additional expertise and resources in open-air strip center guarding operations, enabling the company to deliver industry-leading service to customers throughout its U.S. Western Region, and creating model that can be easily rolled-out to other geographic locations in order to facilitate growth.

With support from Andrews International's investment partner, Audax Group, the acquisition of A&S closed January 25, 2010. The agreement will bring Andrews International an additional office in Covina, CA, expanding and facilitating service capabilities from Greater Los Angeles to the High Desert region of California and into Arizona. Andrews International will acquire all of A&S' security assets, guarding operations, a fleet of patrol vehicles, while retaining its current owners and personnel to manage and service clients. Andrews International will also be merging new technology with A&S resources and operations, allowing the company to deliver advanced and additional security services to customers.

Founded in 1986, A&S provides a wide range of security services, including state-licensed officers, security consultation, loss prevention, undercover operations and background investigations. The company's diverse clients include schools and colleges, shopping malls, office complexes, apartment buildings, industrial and construction sites, hotels, hospitals and studios, with a particular emphasis on strip centers.
