Andrew Maletz Joins WD Partners as a Vice President of Architecture & Engineering
Columbus, Ohio, Aug. 17, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- WD Partners, a customer experience expert for global food and retail brands, announces that Andrew Maletz has joined the company as a Vice President of Architecture & Engineering. Andrew is responsible for administration and execution of WD Partners' strategic architecture and engineering initiatives. He will oversee organizational design and daily operations of the architecture and engineering teams in WD's Columbus, OH office. He will also play an integral role in business development efforts for WD.
Andrew brings over 15 years of experience in client development, architectural design, program management, and technology innovation to WD Partners.
From 2001 to 2012, Andrew served as a Vice President and owner of SHP Leading Design, a national architectural design firm focused on delivering educational and community-based facilities, with building programs exceeding $100 million. His clients have included The Ohio State University, The Wellington School and Columbus City Schools as well as several school districts, colleges, and universities across the state of Ohio. Andrew led SHP's Columbus office and delivered over $500M in construction throughout the region. In 2006, his team led a complete conversion of the firm's production practice to Building Information Modeling (BIM) which resulted in increased production capabilities for the organization, as well as improved design innovation. The first projects delivered under this approach reduced design delivery times by 10-15%, including an even more significant reduction in construction change orders. Ultimately this transition was acknowledged by Autodesk through a BIM Experience Award presented to the organization in 2008.
Over the past few years WD Partners has added major clients in the big box retail, specialty, grocery and consumer packaged goods segments. Clients include Starbucks, Gap Inc., The Home Depot, Walmart, Stop & Shop, Whole Foods, Tim Hortons, Old Chicago, and Gatorade. In 2011 and 2012 the firm received awards from the Retail Design Institute as well as VMSD Magazine for its work with E-Mart, one of South Korea's largest retailers.
