Andrew Bleeker, Founder of Bully Pulpit Interactive, Joins Hill & Knowlton
NEW YORK, Jan. 14, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Hill & Knowlton today announced the appointment of Andrew Bleeker as global digital practice director, reporting to Jack Martin, chairman and CEO. An expert in online marketing strategy in both the public and private sectors, Andrew will lead our digital strategies for clients integrating online and interactive technologies with traditional PR activities, providing insight, strategy and execution.
Julie Atherton is taking on a new role as a global senior advisor to Jack Martin on integrated communications.
Most recently, Andrew was the principal and founder of Bully Pulpit Interactive where he provided online marketing strategy for clients in both the public and private sectors. Clients include the USO, World Food Programme, Livestrong, the Democratic National Committee, and the Alliance for Climate Protection.
Prior to founding Bully Pulpit, Andrew helped build Change.gov and served as the new media director for the presidential inaugural committee. During the 2008 general election, Andrew was the director of Internet advertising for Obama for America where he oversaw a groundbreaking political online marketing operation. He was responsible for all aspects of online marketing for the campaign and the Democratic National Committee, including unprecedented programs for list building, donor acquisition, voter registration, early voting, messaging, and GOTV.
