Andrea Rosen appointed to Manulife Board of Directors

TORONTO, Aug. 11, 2011 /PRNewswire/ - Manulife Financial Corporation and The Manufacturers Life Insurance Company announced today that Andrea Rosen has been appointed to their Boards of Directors, effective August 10, 2011.

Ms. Rosen brings extensive knowledge of the financial services industry including investment management and banking. Her experience includes more than a decade with the TD Bank Financial Group where she ultimately served as Vice Chair, TD Bank Financial Group and President, TD Canada Trust. Earlier in her career, she held progressively senior positions at Wood Gundy Inc. and was Vice President at Varity Corporation. Ms. Rosen serves as a director on the boards of the Alberta Investment Management Corporation, Emera Inc. and Hiscox Ltd. She holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from Osgoode Hall Law School, a Master of Business Administration from the Schulich School of Business at York University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Yale University.
