BAYPORT, Minn., Nov. 3, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Andersen Corporation will be exploring the unique relationship between architecture and sustainability at the 2017 Greenbuild International Conference & Expo, held in conjunction with Architecture Boston Expo (ABX) at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center, November 8 - 10. This year's show marks Andersen's 15th consecutive year of exhibiting.
The Andersen Window & Doors booth, #1811 in Hall A-B, will highlight how the industry leader is working to redefine boundaries across multiple green building categories. Andersen experts and representatives will be on-hand to discuss green building, sustainability, ENERGY STAR®, and net-zero.
"Greenbuild is the perfect platform for Andersen to showcase our own thought leadership around sustainability and to engage in meaningful dialogue with industry partners about challenges we have yet to overcome," said Eliza Clark, Andersen's Director of Sustainability and Environmental. "We're excited to share some of the dynamic trends we're advancing through our products and programs in the categories of smart home, indoor-outdoor living, historic preservation, net zero buildings and more."
As part of Greenbuild's Applied Learning Area Lunch & Learn program, Andersen Windows will present the session "Overcoming Obstacles for Net Zero Buildings in Unique Applications," scheduled for Nov. 8 and repeated Nov. 9. Two case studies will be presented during this session. Will Ives, associate principal of Hennebery Eddy Architects, Inc., will discuss Yellowstone National Park's Yellowstone Youth Campus, a Living Building Challenge concept/design slotted for 2018 construction and Marc Sloot, associate of Sala Architects, Inc., will discuss Bella Luce, a 107- year old Minneapolis, MN net zero Victorian residential remodel.
Visitors to the booth can select one of three non-profit organizations for Andersen to make a $10 donation to, either Yellowstone Forever Foundation, The Nature Conservancy, or Habitat for Humanity.
