Ancient Coin Collectors Guild Launches Third Annual Internet Benefit Auction
GAINESVILLE, Mo., Sept. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- The 2010 Ancient Coin Collectors Guild (ACCG) Benefit Auction opened for on line bidding on September 16th at:
http://www.vauctions.com/auctions/
and will close on October 7th.
The auction is hosted through the generosity of Bill Puetz and VHobbies.com LLC.
The previous two ACCG Benefits Auctions have raised more than $80,000 to support the continuing rights of ancient coin collectors and businesses, everywhere, to pursue their interests.
The ACCG consists of collectors and numismatic professionals who care passionately about preserving, studying and displaying ancient coins from all cultures. Administration costs are kept to a minimum with all of its officers working on a voluntary basis and the money raised through these auctions and other donations going to where it is needed most.
The ACCG also supports the Ancient Coins for Education project, which supplies coins and expertise for schoolchildren to learn about the ancient world through hands-on experience with ancient coins:

Ancient coins make the knowledge of history, art, mythology and economies easily available to all and provide a tangible connection to many civilizations and cultures that is unequalled through any other means. Archaeologists and museums stress the importance of "hands on" experience as a method of coming into contact with our classical heritage, and the current ACCG Benefit Auction is offering genuine Greek, Roman and Celtic coins which span three continents. You can buy coins of Alexander the Great, Julius Caesar, Nero and Constantine, and of many other important figures from history -- often for a surprisingly low price.
For those who have a special collector in their lives, but would not know what to buy for them, VCoins gift cards are also available among the auction lots, and these can be used to purchase ancient coins from a large number of respected and knowledgeable VCoins Mall dealers.
Winning bidders may pay by major credit card, PayPal, or check/money order drawn on a US bank.
It is due to the support of numismatic professionals, educators, collectors and the public in general that the ACCG can continue to preserve and further the interest in the ancient world through its coinage, and the guild would like to thank all of these wonderful people for their ongoing support.
