NEW YORK, June 29, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Anchin, Block & Anchin LLP is pleased to welcome Brian Kenet to its Architecture & Engineering and Construction Group as a Senior Business Advisor.
"We are continuously looking for new ways to assist companies with successfully transitioning ownership and business continuity. Brian's deep experience as a trusted advisor to leading A/E/C firms, complements and strengthens Anchin's already robust A/E/C service offerings," said Frank Schettino, Anchin's Managing Partner. "Bringing Brian in as a Senior Business Advisor will help us broaden our significant industry expertise, particularly on matters related to ownership transition and mergers and acquisitions (M&A). The future of this industry relies on well planned and successful transitions. We are very excited for this new addition to the Anchin team."
"We are thrilled to have Brian join the leadership team of Anchin's Architecture & Engineering and Construction Group," said Phillip Ross, Leader of the A/E/C Group. "His addition signals our firm's commitment to continuously add high-end, value-added, advisory services that will strengthen and differentiate Anchin's value-proposition to the industry. We are excited to offer Brian's expertise through our A/E/C platform and to strengthen our ability to help businesses achieve their goals for growth, transition, and shareholder liquidity."
Brian Kenet is a senior advisor with fifteen years of experience in working with A/E/C clients on high-level business planning and consulting projects. As a Consulting Principal at a boutique financial advisory firm, Brian helped dozens of prominent A/E/C clients to complete successful M&A transactions – both on the 'sell' and 'buy' side, along with advising them on the entire spectrum of topics related to growth and transition, firm valuation, succession and leadership development, operations benchmarking and performance improvement.
Brian has held faculty positions at Harvard Graduate School of Design (ten years) and Yale School of Architecture (two years), where he continues to guest lecture regularly. He is currently an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture, Planning, and Preservation.
"Brian's fifteen years of experience in developing curricula for, and teaching professional practice at, three of the county's top ranked graduate schools of Architecture and Design, will bring a new level of expertise and sophistication to Anchin's ability to advise clients on succession and leadership development – an increasingly important discipline as the baby-boom generation of firm leaders contemplate and plan for the long-term future of their firms," Ross added.
